1.If you were famous what would your stage name be?
Seeing my children exert their energy and commitment to achieving their goals is something that makes me smile. I know that each accomplishment they experience serves to increase their confidence in themselves. I also know, and regularly remind them, that falling short of their goals—and getting back up to pursue the goal again—is the best way to develop strong character. This learning and development process makes me smile.
2.If you would attend a celebrity wedding which, would it be?
My husband and I are the best of friends. Whether we are camped out on the couch, binge watching the latest Netflix series in our pajamas, or we are gussied up for a trip to endure a sushi coma followed by a show at the comedy club, we endlessly enjoy each other’s company. With our new move and the ensuing home repairs, many of our date nights lately have been spent at Home Depot.
3.What is the weirdest gift you’ve ever received?
I freely admit that I am a bath addict. If I am overwhelmed, feeling unwell, need a break, or the day ends in ‘y,’ I will be in the bath, either reading a good book-- and trying not to drop it in the water, again—or listening to music. One place you will never see me relaxing is getting a pedicure. I cannot handle people touching my feet!
4.What is the most random fact you know?
My personal style varies depending on the occasion. If I am taking my Daisies on a tour of a dairy farm, I will be wearing jeans, a t-shirt, and Wellington boots. If I am meeting with one of my Wish Kids, I will be wearing my blue Make-A-Wish volunteer t-shirt and slacks. If I am speaking at an event, my style is smart and conservative. I can never resist a bit of sparkle, though!
